BRINDLECOMBE BOROUGH COUNCIL - RENT SUPPORT GRANT 2026: SCHEME RULES (fictional)
Section 1 - Eligibility. Applications may be made by households that, on the date of application: a) live in the Borough of Brindlecombe; b) have a household income of no more than £20,000 a year; c) hold a written tenancy agreement for their home; d) have not received any other public grant towards their rent in 2026.
Section 2 - Deadline. Applications must be received by 12:00 noon on 15 December 2026. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Section 3 - Documents. Applications must include a copy of the tenancy agreement and a copy of the applicant's photo ID.
Section 4 - Rejection and missing documents. An application without a copy of the tenancy agreement will be rejected. If any other document is missing, the Council will ask for it; it must be provided within 10 days of the request, or the application will be rejected.
Section 5 - Amount. The grant is 30% of the annual rent, up to £1,500.
